What We Collect

Directly, nothing beyond what you deliberately send through the contact form. Every calculator and chart on this site runs entirely in your browser. When you type a size into a converter, that value is never transmitted anywhere. The conversion is computed locally in JavaScript, and the page would produce the same answer with your network disconnected.

Separately, this site uses Google Analytics to understand which pages get used and how. Google Analytics collects standard usage data (pages viewed, time on page, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type) and reports it back in aggregate. It does not see anything you type into a calculator, and it is not connected to the contact form in any way.

The Contact Form

The contact form collects a name, an email address and a message. Because this is a static site with no server of its own, the form submits to a third-party form handling service, which forwards the message by email. That service processes the submission under its own privacy policy and retains it according to its own terms.

Your email address is used only to reply to the message you sent. It is not added to a mailing list, not used for marketing, and not shared with or sold to anyone. If you would prefer not to use a third-party form at all, contact by email directly instead.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies. Google Analytics sets a small number of first-party cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_*) to distinguish one visitor's session from another; Google's documentation describes their current names and retention periods in detail. The hosting provider may also set a strictly necessary cookie for security and load balancing; that one carries no personal information and cannot be used to identify or follow you between sites.

Some pages remember small interface preferences in your browser's local storage, nothing more identifying than which tab you last opened. That data never leaves your device and is not readable by this site's operators.

Third-Party Resources

This site loads one third-party script. Google Analytics (Google LLC) measures traffic and page usage as described above, under Google's privacy policy; you can opt out of it in any browser using Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. No web fonts are loaded from any external provider. Every page renders in the font already installed on your device, so your browser makes no request to a font host and no font provider ever sees your IP address. No advertising networks, social media embeds or other trackers are loaded anywhere on this site.

Site files are served through a content delivery network, which processes request logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent) for security, abuse prevention and traffic measurement. These are standard server logs, retained for a limited period, and are not combined with anything else to build a profile of you.

Your Rights

For a contact form message you chose to send, your rights are straightforward: you can ask what has been retained, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Send the request from the same email address you originally wrote from, and it will be actioned. For data held by Google Analytics, the opt-out add-on linked above stops collection at the browser level, and Google's own privacy tools govern any further request regarding data it holds directly.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Any change that materially affects how data is handled will be described here rather than made quietly. Questions about any of the above can go through the contact page, and the socket conversion calculator and every other chart on the site remain usable without providing any information at all.
